Terms and Conditions

Payment

All purchases must be paid for at time of checkout. We do not have open accounts, nor do we ship COD.

Payments can be made through Pay Pal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

We do not accept money orders or personal checks.

Should a product be out of stock you will be notified by e-mail.  

 

Proof of Ownership

Customers requiring their keys be cut by the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) are required to fax or email either a copy of the title or current registration, to our office as proof of ownership. You must also include a copy of your current driver’s license and the vehicles license plate number. Your order will not be shipped until the proper documentation is received.

 

Cancellations

Processing of your order begins immediately. This means that the key code is requested and all necessary documents are prepared. If you find it necessary to cancel your order, please contact us by phone immediately.

In order to cancel your order, you must contact us by phone during normal business hours and speak to a customer service representative. We will not accept a cancellation by voice mail or email.

  

Shipping

All shipments are sent by USPS Priority Mail, unless otherwise indicated at time of checkout. Delivery normally takes 2-5 days. We do not assume any responsibility for delays in delivery times.

All packages are insured for the cost of the products that you purchased. We do not insure the package to include the cost of a sample key. Therefore do not include the 3 button electronic module with your sample key. We will not be responsible for replacing the module, should the package be lost by the USPS.

During the holidays and severe weather, USPS does not guarantee Next Day or 2nd Day deliveries.

You will receive an email from USPS providing you with the tracking number when your package ships. This will allow you to follow the shipping progress of your purchase.

 

Shipping Items to SCK

When sending keys to SCK for duplication, package the key in a box or a bubble filled shipping envelope. Do not ship your key in a standard letter envelope, the envelope may tear & the key may be lost.

Do not include the electronics module with your key, when you are sending your key to us to duplicate.

When sending your Engine Control Module to SCK to be re-flashed, wrap the ECM in bubble wrap & place it in a box along with the re-flash authorization form. Insure the package for $1,200.00

If you are shipping by FED-EX, please specify AM delivery, or your order will not be processed until the next day.

All shipping charges for sending items to SCK are the responsibility of the customer.

 

Guarantees

FOR WARRANTY REPLACEMENT YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ORIGINAL INVOICE

 

Key – Shells – Remotes

Remote electronic modules and transponder keys are covered by a 6 month limited warranty. This warranty covers remote function and battery power. If you suspect a fault or defect with your order within 6 months, please contact us at 866-350-4199 to arrange your return & inspection. If a defect is found with your returned merchandise and no tampering is evident, an even exchange will be provided. If your replacement key requires programming by the dealer or locksmith, the customer will accept the financial responsibility for the programming.

Replacement shells are covered by a 1 year limited warranty. This warranty covers only the breakage of the plastic shell. It does not cover the loss of the electronics module. 

 

Key Cutting by Code or VIN

All keys are guaranteed to be properly cut to the factory key code that the customer or Lexus provides us.

Since we have no way to verify if the key code on file is correct or if the vehicle’s locks have been replaced or rekeyed, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on keys that are cut from your VIN number or factory key code

If the key does not operate your locks it will be necessary for you to return the key to SCK so that we can determine if the key was incorrectly cut or if the code may be incorrect.

If it is determined that the key was improperly cut, a new key will be sent to you at no charge. If the key was properly cut to the key code, a replacement key can be purchased at a 50% discount. You may also be asked to send us a sample key to determine the correct key code.

 

Programming

We will supply you with the on board factory programming instructions for the key or remote to your particular vehicle, however we cannot guarantee that you will be successful in programming the transponder or remote into your vehicle. This is because we have no way of knowing if there is a problem with the vehicle or if it is human error.

We will make every effort to provide you with the technical support needed to assist you with programming your key or remote, but cannot accept any returns due to the customer’s inability to successfully program the key or remote. SCK will not accept any financial responsibility if the customer must take the vehicle to a third party to complete the programming.

 

Engine Control Module (ECM) Re-flashing

SCK guarantees that we will re-flash your vehicles ECM with the proper factory code to return the ECM to its original “new” state for your particular vehicle and have the ability to learn new transponder keys without an existing pre-registered master key.

We do not guarantee ECM’s that are from salvaged vehicles or ECM’s that exhibit water damage.

 

Returns

Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. If you are receiving a replacement for your returned item, SCK will pay the USPS Priority Mail shipping charges back to you, the customer.

All requests for returns must be made within 14 days from the invoice date. Merchandise must be received back in our office within 30 days from the invoice date. Absolutely no returns or exchanges will be accepted after this time.

Not all keys will fit your car. If you are unsure of the correct key, please call us at 866-350-4199 or email us at sales@sparecarkeys.com prior to ordering.

 

Affiliations

Sparecarkeys.com is a division of Advanced Lock & Security and is not affiliated with any key or automobile manufacturer.

Our keys are aftermarket and do not have the “L” logo printed on them unless otherwise indicated on the website. Our remote electronic modules are OEM Lexus.
